Back at the farm

During the 70's and 80's we ranched on the farm in Banks County, Georgia. We raised polled Shorthorn cattle, goats, horses, sheep chickens, ducks and peafowl. It seems like I was always fixing fences where trees had fallen, or deer hadn't jumped quite high enough to clear. Baling hay was another big chore. We had one of those square balers and sometimes had to pick up 500 or more bales and carry them to the barn in temperatures hovering around 100 Deg. It"s good to go back and relax there. We did just that this afternoon.

As you can see the colour change has not quite reached there but will arrive at any time. The fresh air and quiet were very enjoyable.
